Road Trip to Russia
3:06:00 PM
I have this dream (some would call it unrealistic) to go on a road trip to Russia. I'd start anywhere in the states, make my way to Alaska (preferable during Northern Lights season) and just continue across the ocean to Russia via ferry, bridge, or frozen Bering Strait. I've been laughed at more than once for this dream but I'm pretty serious about it. I've researched it out a bit and there aren't really running ferries, just boats, and there have been plenty of plans to build a bridge but there are never enough warm (or just not-freezing) months to do it in. So that leaves us with taking our tiny little Hyundai across the frozen water. Before Kory and I started dating I told him that I wanted to go on a road trip to Russia and he laughed a bit and thought it was a bit silly. Quite some time later when we were getting more serious he told me he needed to apologize for something, I was confused because I couldn't think of anything he'd done wrong. When I asked him what it was and he just said "a while back when you told me you wanted to go on a road trip to Russia I laughed but I just feel bad because if that's something you really want to do than we'll do it. If you're going on a road trip to Russia then I'll be right there with you, just as long as I can drive." I knew I was falling in love with him at that point but something about his sweet comment made me just want to stay with that boy forever.
doesn't this look like its worth driving 3000 miles for? and we wouldn't even have to rent a car once we got there.
