Book on Tape Worm

Last night Kory and I stood in line in the freezing cold for an hour waiting to see my favorite band, Book on Tape Worm at Velour. When we finally got inside we found a cramped little space for the two of us to sit hand in hand. It was the first time we had been in such a small confined space, with so many people, (the place was completely packed) as a married couple. We were sitting up on a higher bench and I did some accidental people watching. I looked around at all the empty hands, I listened to the girls behind us talk about the men that weren't in their lives, I saw high school faces buried in cell phone screens, I saw girls dancing in a corner just waiting to be talked to. I looked at Kory's taken left ring finger, then I looked at mine. And I couldn't help but smile all night. I just stared at my handsome husband and knew that I'm the luckiest girl in the world.  No matter where I go, I get to have him by my side, and that made watching my favorite band that much better. It makes everything that much better.

Also, if you haven't heard Book on Tape Worm play, you don't know what you're missing. Look em up, I dare you.
